Awesome Measuring Cups!

While you’re waiting for my next cake project, which I’ll have posted in a little over a week, I decided to share with you some of my favorite measuring cups because one thing you definitely need when making cupcakes is a measuring cup. I’ve scoured the net to find my favorite ones with a little flair and here’s what I found.

Up first are Chef’n SleekStore Collapsible Cup Set. These measuring cups aren’t just colorful but practical too, especially if you have a small kitchen. The cups collapse flat for easy storage in a drawer and can stack on top of each other to take up very little space. They come in two color sets: Trend which is the set I have a pictured here and Core which are more primary colors. The cups are made of heat resistant silicone and come in one cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup and 1/4 cup sizes.

I once had a roommate that owned a set of cups like this and they came in very handy considering our kitchen was the size of a small jail cell. There was barely any drawer space to keep all of the kitchen supplies that we had, but with gadgets like these it helped make room for many other utensils.

Another set of measuring cups that caught my eye a while ago was the Fred M Cup Measuring Matroyshkas, Set of 6 Dry Measuring Cups because they were just so damn cute. Modeled after Russian stacking dolls these measuring cups stack together to create a cute little kitchen decoration when not being used. Unlike many measuring cup sets, this one comes with six different sizes making it a great help with those recipes that call for odd measurements. Sizes include 1/4 cup, 1/3 cup, 1/2 cup, 2/3 cup, 3/4 cup, and one cup.

Although they stack together to make a nice, neat package, it is a bit large so keep that in mind if you have a small kitchen with little counter or drawer space.

This next measuring cup set comes from Anthropologie, which carries many different styles of cute, unique measuring cups. This one though is particularly cute. Made of ceramic, it stacks to look like an old fashion milk bottle! They come in the regular sizes (1/4 cup, 1/3 cup, 1/2 cup and one cup) and are best for liquid measurements as the measuring lines are slightly down from the top of the cups and wouldn’t work well for dry measurements that need to be leveled off.

Once taken apart, the cups show a little color in orange, light blue, yellow, and green, giving this a little more flair for your kitchen. As with the matroyshka measuring cups, this could also become a lovely counter top decoration when not in use.

All put together it stands at about 6 inches tall and would look great in any vintage inspired kitchen.

The final measuring cup set on my list is Pier 1 Import’s lovely springtime ceramic Flower Measuring Cups. These ones are also for liquid measuring and stack into a pretty flower blossom when not in use. They come in 1/4 cup, 1/3 cup, 1/2 cup, and one cup sizes and have a nifty little pouring spout on one side, making it easy to pour your liquid measurements into other bowls.
